  • Join us on a crisp autumn morning for a trail project with Potomac Appalachian Trail Club. PATC will lead us to a work site to assist with rebuilding the erosion control on the lower end of the Whittier Trail and working on cribbing on the nearby Valley Trail. It should be a fun work trip!

    We will meet at 8:30 AM outside of the Nature Center in Rock Creek Park. PATC and National Park Service will supply all tools and direction. Dress in warm layers!

    Potomac Appalachian Trail Clubthrough volunteer efforts, education and advocacy, maintains and protects the Appalachian Trail and nearby lands as well as acquiring and maintaining other trails and related facilities in the Mid-Atlantic region for the enjoyment of present and future hikers.

    Make sure to join us for our biggest event of year, bringing together hundreds of RPCVs and friends of all different ages and countries of service, and from all across the District-Maryland-Virginia area!

    This year's event will be held at 201 Bar near the Union Station Metro on Saturday, December 2nd. Join your fellow RPCVs, family and friends for a night of fun which includes a photo booth, music, and dancing. Doors open and bidding begins for the Silent Auction at 7pm. Tickets cover complimentary beer, wine, and delicious hors d’oeuvres from 7:30pm to 9:30pm. The following hors d'oeuvres will be offered: crispy spring rolls, assorted artisan flatbread pizzas, mini lump crab cakes, marinated steak skewers with chimichurri sauce, southwestern chicken skewers with buttermilk dressing, vegetarian samosas with chive dressing, avocado, tomato, mozzarella skewers, hummus with veggies & pita, bbq pulled pork and curried chicken salad mini sandwiches. 

    In addition to attending the Gala, you can also support RPCV/W and our Partnership for Peace program, Upwardly Global, with a donation to the silent auction. Use this form to make a donation.

    Past donations have included items ranging from gift cards and baskets, to event tickets and more. If you or your company would like to donate an item or be honored as an event sponsor, please contact our Development Director, Rachel Branaman, at development@rpcvw.org.
