DESCRIPTION:http://rpcvw.org/ViewEvent.ashx?eventId=238798\n\nThe Latin American Youth Center (LAYC) is asking RPCVs to join them on the National Mall for the 23rd Annual Fannie Mae Help the Homeless Walkathon\, Saturday\, November 20th. Registration and Check-In will begin at 7:00am\; there'll be a Pre-Walkathon Program at 8:30am\, and the Walkathon begins at 9:00am. Pre-Registration is $15 for those age 25 and younger\, and $25 for adults over 25. Event Day Registration is $15 for those 25 and younger\, and $30 for adults over 25. The Walkathon is a source of much needed funding for LAYC's residential programs\, which provides housing for runaway homeless kids and kids at risk of becoming homeless. The Walkathon is 2.5 miles long down Independence Ave. towards the Tidal Basin.   \n The meeting point for RPCVs will be at the "L Section\," where LAYC will be located.  Each section is broken up alphabetically.   The easiest way to pre-register is: a) Go to the LAYC homepage at: www.layc-dc.org b) Click on the Fannie Mae Help the Homeless icon at the top center of the page  c) Choose Individual Registration   Then simply complete the registration steps and you'll register on Team LAYC!
