DESCRIPTION:http://rpcvw.org/ViewEvent.ashx?eventId=341430\n\n2nd Annual RPCV/w summer camping trip \n  July 23 - 24\, 2011 (rain or shine)\n     Elizabeth Furnace Group Camp - Site B (George Washington National Forest\, VA)\n     \n   Join RPCV/W this July for a camping trip to George Washington National Forest in Virginia. We’ll be staying at the same site as last year (Elizabeth Furnace Group Camp - Site B). This is a family-friendly event.\n  Cost: Members $15 | Non-members $25\n  (RPCV/w Members: Login to receive discount)\n  \n\n    Dinner on Saturday and breakfast on Sunday morning will be provided. However\, we will ask that you bring your own snacks\, drinks (other than water) and a side dish.\n   \n  RSVP:  The site only holds up to 25 people\, so please sign-up quickly!\n   \n  Logistics (more information will be sent out to participants. This is only to give you an idea of what you are getting into if you sign up):\n      * The site has no running water. This means RPCV/w will provide drinking water and hand sanitizer. It also means that there are no showers\, and no flush toilets (there are vault toilets).\n\n      * Bring your own tents\, sleeping bags\, and a camp chair\n\n      * There is no trash service. We will need to bag our trash and packing it out when we leave.\n\n  Activities:\n      * There is a trailhead across the road from the campsite which leads to signal knob.\n\n      * A stream runs behind the campsite. Fishing is permitted with a license.\n\n      * Group site B is surrounded by woods\, so there is not a large amount of space for games such as softball\, but the group site A nearby has open fields that we may be able to use.\n\n   Questions?
