Perhaps you’ve been curious aboutAmerican Sign Language\, but didn’t know whom to ask.  Well Gallaudet University\, in conjunction with RPCV/W\, will be putting together an American Sign Language Workshop from 6:30pm to 8:00pm\, Thursday evening on April 14th.   The event will be held on the university campus\, in the Multi-Purpose Room in the King Jordan Student Academic Center (SAC) at 800 Florida Ave. NW\, Washington DC 20002.   Those interested in attending can either drive or take the metro\, with the Redline New York Ave. Station being a 10-minute walk to the campus.  A shuttle bus is available for transport from Union Station\, with a departure of every 20 minutes – further details for that option will be provided in the coming days.  This event will be a great opportunity to learn the history\, misconceptions\, and nuances of American Deaf Culture.  Likewise\, there are Gallaudet students who would love the chance to network with individuals in the international development and international relations fields.
