Day of Service at Kelly Miller Middle School

We're teaming up with Capital Cause for their Millennial Day of Service to help 800 youth who attend middle schools where 80% struggle with math and reading. Volunteers will:

  • Work with kids: Facilitate “hands-on” interactive learning activities for middle school youth covering five career sectors;
  • Assemble career-prep packages for middle school youth & write a note encouraging them to value education;
  • Give the school a makeover: by painting murals, organizing college & career ready spaces & creating career-ready messages on bulletin boards;

All participants must register through Capital Cause at this link in order to attend. Select "Returned Peace Corps Volunteers" from the organization list. Registration requires a donation of $10 which goes towards buying 2 career-ready prep packages for 2 youth. Please RSVP at this website too so we have an accurate list.
