5:00pm, Friday, May 6, RPCV/W will hold a joint happy hour with both the Young Professionals in Foreign Policy (YPFP) and the Peace Corps Congressional Staff Association (PC CSA) at the White Tiger Indian restaurant in Capitol Hill.
YPFP’s members’ interests align closely with the interests of many RPCVs, as YPFP’s mission is to foster the next generation of foreign policy leaders by providing young professionals with the knowledge, skills, exposure, and relationships to tackle critical global challenges over the course of their careers. The PC CSA is the official community of Returned Peace Corps Volunteers working in the House, the Senate, and the Capitol complex. Their goal is to uphold the ideals of the Peace Corps in their work, support the professional goals of their members, and attract highly-motivated RPCVs and others of similar character considering careers supporting their elected leaders.
The White Tiger serves delicious traditional Indian dishes, and has a beautiful patio where we will mix and mingle with the like-minded. This event is a networking opportunity for RPCVs interested in foreign policy, as well as a fundraiser for both YPFP programs and RPCV/W’s 50th anniversary fund that will cover the cost of our 50th Anniversary Arlington Cemetery ceremony and parade of flags. A $5 donation will be requested at the door.
The White Tiger is located at 301 Massachusetts Ave NE. Nearest Metro: Union Station (red line). See you there!
