Housing Counseling Services has invited RPCVs to their community center for a day of environment awareness raising and fun! The Faircliff Plaza West Apts on 14th and Euclid in Columbia Heights is home to over 300 low-income residents, many of whom only speak Spanish. Put those environment awareness skills that you built in Peace Corps to good use for a morning of community building and teaching. RPCVs will be split up among groups of kids and teens to make environment signs and posters, and art projects with recycled materials. Lunch and a chance to mingle with the community center residents will be provided!
Please register and contact communityservice@rpcvw.org with any questions.
