Paul Lachelier
Paul Lachelier is the founder and director of Learning Life, an educational nonprofit based in Washington DC. Learning Life’s mission is to spread learning beyond school walls. Learning Life’s flagship program, the Citizen Diplomacy Initiative, engages lower-income American families in live internet dialogues and project collaborations with lower-income families in other nations to nurture more caring and capable global citizens. Paul holds a B.A. in sociology from Georgetown University, and an M.A. and Ph.D. in sociology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Before founding Learning Life in 2012, he taught at Stetson, Harvard, Tufts and the University of Wisconsin. His writing, teaching and programmatic interests focus on the intersection of democracy, culture and education.
