Returned Peace Corps Volunteers who served in West Africa, including Senegal, Mali, Mauritania, Guinea, are invited to join us for FUWANA’s (Fula Women Association of North America) West African Lunch Fundraiser to celebrate the durable partnership with our diverse community organizations and RPCVs. Friends of RPCVs and others are welcome to join!
This event will be an opportunity to serve uniquely West African food with RPCVs who have come to love the cuisine and who are nostalgic for the culture or for folks who are interested in a new experience! Attendees will be treated to lively West African music and delicious dishes such as ceeb bu jin, yassa chicken, bouye juice, bissap juice, fataya, and so much more!
The Fula Women Association of North America (FUWANA) is a tax-exempt organization comprised of members from Guinea, Mali, Niger and Senegal. While FUWANA promotes sisterhood, its objective is to support West African women in need by funding their projects in different areas, primarily focusing on education and agriculture. Over the past ten years, FUWANA has been consistent in funding successful sustainable development projects throughout West Africa. This important work was largely supported by the contribution of its members and generous donors.
