My main job responsibility as a TEFL volunteer was to collaborate with my co-teacher in developing weekly lesson plans. This involved developing new material that would allow for a fun and engaging classroom experience. In addition to developing lessons with my co-teacher, I also provided 1-1 after school tutoring, and held group English clubs for students and adults in the community. Outside of my time teaching, I served as the Curriculum and Training Coordinator on the Linking Identities & Forming Trust (L.I.F.T.) Peace Corps committee. I worked with L.I.F.T. committee members to complete a diversity curriculum handbook, and I also helped to organize and facilitate L.I.F.T. events.
