Bio
Doug taught English in Soanierana Ivongo, Madagascar (one of the hardest places to pronounce) in the local public middle school and high school, occasionally assisting locals in the tourism industry and other teachers with their English.
Doug was a journalist for 12 years, most recently with American Medical News, where he won both a Lisagor and an ASHPE award for his work. Now Doug writes for and manages the web site of Abt Associates, a global research and development firm.
Doug also enjoys photography, live music, and street food around the world. Doug is a Cincinnati native (Go Reds!) who moved to Washington, D.C. in 2006. He lives in Georgetown with his wife.
