The date and time for the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Friends of Jamaica Peace Corps Association (FOJPA) has been set for October 21, 2018 at 12:00 PM EST. The AGM will be held over conference call via an app called Bluejeans. Elections for Board Positions:
At the AGM all of the Executive Board positions will be up for election. Members of the Friends of Jamaica who are interested in serving as an Executive Board officer should first read the FOJ bylaws and must submit his/her name to either the President or the Secretary ([email protected]or [email protected]) at least seven (7) days prior to the AGM. Should more than one person be interested in any office, an election shall be held.
In addition, anyone interested in serving on the Friends of Jamaica Advisory Board, including Members-at- Large, Regional Membership Chairpersons, or Honorary Directors, should make their desire known to the President. Advisory Board members are nominated by the President and approved by a two-thirds majority vote of the Board of Directors.
