Dina Paxenos
Dina was a Small Enterprise Development PCV in Senegal ’97-’99 and a Crisis Corps (now Peace Corps Response) volunteer in Guinea ’00-’01. In Senegal, she mostly worked with a women’s group organizing income generating projects. Her main project was an environmental/business/craft project where the women crocheted recycled plastic bags into coin purses to sell. Other PCV’s loved these purses and the project so Dina helped to organize several training-of-trainers in other PCV towns, cities and even in neighboring countries including The Gambia and Mali.
Stateside, Dina has been selling residential real estate since 2007. Her clients include many RPCV’s, State Department, and international development folks looking to buy or sell in the DC metro region. She especially loves to focus on edgier neighborhoods. For the past several years Dina has been volunteering on the RPCV/W development committee and has been sponsoring events and fundraising for the group. As the Development Director, she hopes to raise even more money to allow RPCV/W to continue to offer fun and interesting events and programs to RPCV’s.
