The RPCV/W 50th Anniversary Social Committee, in collaboration with Friends of Chile, invites you to attend a screening with us at this year’s AFI Latin American Film Festival on Thursday, October 7.  Now in its 21st year, the American Film Institute festival showcases the best filmmaking from Latin America, which this year includes the Chilean romantic comedy with the intriguing title “You think you’re the prettiest, but you are the sluttiest.”

RPCV/W members who sign up through our website will get the group rate for the film at $8/ticket.  We will meet in the theater cafe between 6pm and 6:30pm to socialize and enjoy festive music, complementary Latin American appetizers from Sabroso, and Chilean wine and beer specials.  The film begins at 8pm.

We have a limited number of tickets at the discounted rate, so first-come first-serve at  Deadline to purchase tickets through the RPCV/W website is 8pm, Wednesday , Oct. 6.  The AFI Silver Theater and Cultural Center is located at 8633 Colesville Road, Silver Spring (2 blocks from the Silver Spring red line Metro station).

This event is the second country-focused event that RPCV/W is hosting in the lead up to the Peace Corps 50th Anniversary celebration.  These events will focus on the 13 original Peace Corps countries.  Join us in recognizing Chile this month with wine, food, and entertainment at the AFI Latin American Film Festival!
