Finalists and Voting

Vote Online: June 18 - 21

Results to be announced at Summer BBQ

Every year since 2009, we choose a local non-profit organization to be the focus of our community service, programming, and fundraising efforts in what we call the Partnership for Peace. In addition to providing a cash grant, RPCV/W assists the organization with advertising its initiatives, staffing special events, and conducting fundraisers with our members. As our presence in the DC community continues to grow, so does our impact.

2013-2014 Finalists

We Are Family

We Are Family serves seniors in the Shaw, North Capitol Street, Adams-Morgan, Petworth, and Columbia Heights neighborhoods. They bring advocacy, services, organizing, and companionship into the homes of the elderly, while helping to build friendships across boundaries like race, class, religion, age, culture, and sexual orientation.

Liberty's Promise

Liberty’s Promise supports young immigrants in need while encouraging them to be active and conscientious American citizens. Their programs aim to make the immigrant experience an affirmative one for young newcomers while instilling in them a sense of pride and support for American ideals of democracy and freedom.

Kid Power

Kid Power inspires youth leadership by promoting academic advancement, physical and emotional wellness, and positive civic engagement in underserved communities throughout the District of Columbia.
