This event is monthly and always the second Wednesday of the month at Dupont Circle @ 730pm and ride @ 8pm. We will ride at a slow pace for two hours from 8pm-10pm and ride will end at a bar. Please look for the PC Flag on the north side of the Dupont Circle Fountain.
Join us for the RPCV/W August Happy Hour @ SMITTY'S starting at 5:30pm. Smitty's is a ten (10) minute walk from the Columbia Height's and Georgia AVE-Petworth Metro Stations. Please look for the Peace Corps Flag. We will let the the host/hostess know where we are sitting so feel free to ask upon arrival. Bring a used name tag if you've got one! Let's go boating at Fletcher's Cove on the mighty Anacostia River. There are lots of options to choose from on the Fletcher's Cove Boathouse website including rowboats, canoes, kayaks, and double kayaks. All range from $18-$28/hr. Please RSVP here on the website and we can coordinate accordingly around 8/15 who is doing what and carpooling/biking/arriving at Fletcher's Cove. Let's plan on being on the water for two (2) hours and then celebrate with some snacks and beverages along the shore.

C & O Canal Lock House
We will be bunking and camping in and around a C&O Canal Lock House for the weekend. The Lock House is located approximately 20 miles from the Georgetown Waterfront. We will bike out there on Friday Night and stay for two nights in a rustic Lock House. The weekend will be full of games, beverages, biking, campfire, and hammocking. Please serious RSVPs only. The lock house can only hold eight people however there is ample room for camping adjacent to the lockhouse. We will charge between $15-20 depending on Lock House accommodation/camping and the purchase of food/beverage for group meals. More details to follow!
