Saturday, March 23 - 11:30 AM
Join us for our annual picnic during the National Cherry Blossom Festival!
Location & Arrival:
We will meet several hundred feet west of the Japanese Lantern. Our meeting spot is a sixteen (16) minute walk west of the Smithsonian Metro. This area is nestled amongst the trees and is close enough to the actual Festival Stage and food which is a 5–7-minute walk to the West. Look for a white Peace Corps flag!
Please note transportation will be crowded because it is the height of the Cherry Blossom Festival, so plan a lot of time to get to the tidal basin! We recommend biking or walking in if possible. It will be quite busy!
What to Bring:
-
Please bring a dish or side dish to share.
-
Please use this FORM to let everyone know what you are bringing.
-
Please bring blankets and/or portable chairs if you have them.
Community Guidelines:
Please be mindful of the RPCV/W Community Guidelines here. We want this to be a safe, fun, and inviting space for everyone!
IF THE PROGNOSTIC FOR THE HEIGHT OF BLOSSOM BLOOM CHANGES WE WILL MOVE THIS TO A LATER SATURDAY.
