Want to improve your physical or mental health? Want to get in tune with your body? Come join other RPCVs for a free 2-hour yoga workshop on Sunday, August 19, at 2:30pm at the Mt. Pleasant Library.
RPCV/W’s Wellness Coordinator will lead a 1-hour yoga class, which will be followed by an hour of yoga nidra, or yogic sleep, led by guest teacher Mike Stickley.
About Our Wellness Coordinator:
Alle Kamela studied with yoga master Sri Dharma Mittra in New York City. Dharma Yoga is a graceful, yet challenging form of yoga based on Sri Dharma’s 50+ years of practicing classical yoga. Dharma Yoga focuses on Hatha-Raja Yoga but it also incorporates all Eight Limbs of Yoga. The practice aims to improve the physical, mental, and emotional bodies.
This is an introductory (Dharma I) class, and everyone is welcome regardless of prior yoga experience or flexibility level. Although each Dharma Yoga class may vary, the essence and goal is the same - to improve on strength, flexibility, concentration, and peace.
