Loved my service in El Salvador. Lived in a hot, small hamlet called Obrajuelo Lempa. Met my future wife and started my career in non profit management as a result. Here's a blurb on what I did as a volunteer: Performed water and sanitation and other community development services with government and private organizations in a rural community. Coordinated with government officials, organized community labor forces, supervised construction activities and provided trainings in hygiene and health education. Supervised the design and construction of a community water system, the construction of 134 latrines, the construction of a bridge and the community organization and planning stages for a community electricity project.
