I served as a Health Training Facilitator in the Maternal and Child Health (MCH) project in Guatemala, from 2013 to 2015. I led collaborations with state and local health officials to train health center personnel on behavior change theories and methodologies, program planning and implementation, and monitoring and evaluation techniques. I also led collaborations with local health officials for various trainings for community members, middle school aged children, and nursing students on nutrition topics, life skills and empowerment topics, health emergency planning, and HIV/AIDS virology and transmission. I was also a member of the Project Advisory Committee for the Maternal and Child Health Project, in which we worked with Ministry of Health officials from across the country to articulate and advance the MCH project goals.
