Join NOVA RPCV's on Sunday, May 29th(Memorial Day Weekend) for a bike ride on the C & O Canal from Georgetown to Old Angler's Inn (12 miles each way). We will meet at Georgetown Waterfront Park near the fountain and travel to Old Angler's Inn at milepost 12 on the C & O Canal.

All levels of bikers are welcome to join. More advanced riders can bike at a faster pace to the overlooks near Great Falls while beginners and intermediate bikers can travel at a more leisure pace. We will all meet at Old Angler's Inn for lunch on the patio at 1:00 pm. There will be a reservation under Peace Corps group. Those who do not want to bike the full round trip can consider having someone pick them up at Old Angler's Inn to transport them back or anyone is welcome to just meet us for lunch at Old Angler's and bike with us a bit around there.

This event will continue if there are rain showers as long as it is not an all day wash out. Be prepared in case it gets muddy. You also might want to consider bringing a bike lock so you can lock your bike outside the restaurant and also lock your bike if you travel to any of the overlooks.

If you have any questions ahead of time you can email [email protected];  if you have any problem locating us on the day of the bike ride you can call (703) 473-8660 .

You may also invite friends and family to come along but please register so we know who and how many to expect. I will make a reservation for our group on the patio at Old Angler's Inn. To register click on the Attending button at the top of this announcement.

Please RSVP going directly to the NOVA RPCV website here and clicking the "RSVP without logging in" button so we can have a count of attendees and you can receive the homeowner's address in Reston.  If you have a folding chair, please bring one since we may need it.
