My name is Tyler Owens. I served in the northern coastal region of Peru from 2009-2011, leading community-based environmental sustainability projects in small rural villages. Beyond the interpersonal bonds that I made, some of my greatest achievements from Peace Corps were 1) growing the only organic tomato plant in all of northern Peru and 2) making compost so well that, while decomposing, it burned your finger to the touch.
