For the last several years RPCV's from West Africa have held an annual DC WAIST tournament. This is a day long, 8 team tournament. In the last few years, the numbers have dropped and there have been some hybrid teams from two West African countries.

While there is an email list of people who have played in the past, it will be difficult to fully coordinate with them. If you have served in West Africa and would like to play, please show up at 10:30. There may be a full team from your country, and I am sure they will welcome you on it. If there is not enough people to field a full team we will figure out some hybrid teams at the start of the tournament. It would be great if you have your own mitt, or can barrow one. Please bring whatever food and drink with you to the tournament. The softball fields we will be using will be somewhat removed from the metro and stores, so plan accordingly.

Also, if you are not an RPCV from West Africa, you can still come and hang out at be part of the audience. There will be an on-going RPCVW picnic next to the tournament for duration of the event.
