If you love camping and biking this might be the greatest event since the serving of sliced bread! We will be going on a Bikepacking Trip of epic proportions. We will be Bikepacking Montgomery County. Here is very detailed information about the route. The route will cover 125 miles of mostly unpaved trail and involve camping out in Little Bennet State Park in Maryland. This is a difficulty rating of 4/10 and is mostly flat. We will stay together. There will be no need to rush. The campground is only an hour from DC so we will have a car on standby if we need stuff dropped off or if anything comes up. Also, on the second day if necessary participants can grab the last stop on the Red line and this will shave 34 miles off of the trip. Here is a nice resource for Bikepacking 101. We will have a virtual or in person planning meeting for this event early June. I will keep you posted.
Please sign up for this event only if you are a 100% committed due to challenging logistics. This event is capped at 15 people. If you are want to go but don't have the right gear or bike please email me and we can figure it out. We will be sharing a lot of the same gear like tents, stove, etc.
