Are you looking for your first job out of Peace Corps, a new job, or to switch to a new company or field?

Come by for our Speed Mentoring event!

Mentors will be available to help RPCVs with resume review and other career advice in short one on one meetings.

This is the third speed mentoring event, participants found this format to be very useful in the past, the structure is similar to having many informational interviews in a short amount of time.

We will have a short presentation about the mentoring program, followed by the speed mentoring event, with a happy hour after.

Expand your network, gain new perspectives for your career, and enjoy the extended happy hour!

  • Interested in science, tech and youth education in your country of service? Come to the International Robot “Olympics” for high school-age students at Constitution Hall from July 16-18. Attend the Opening Ceremony and/or volunteer as a Team Ambassador

160 nations are participating in this year’s FIRST Global Challenge, each with one student team. These students have spent the past months studying robotics and engineering, with the goal of competing in this year’s Robot Olympics. This event is a truly unique blend of science and culture, and RPCV/W is pleased to join FIRST Global to have you there to experience it.

The Opening Ceremony, which will feature speakers, a procession of nations, and a celebration of the global community, is taking place from 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm July 16. The competition will take place on July 17 and 18, and our Closing Ceremony will be from 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm, the night of the 18th.

Prior to the opening ceremony, attendees will be able to speak with their teams of choice. This meet and greet is an incredible opportunity for cross-cultural understanding, and to learn more about any countries you have a special connection to.

Bring the family, make signs, and wave flags for your country of choice! Information about specific countries attending, as well as a short bio and picture for each team, can be found at www.first.global
RSVPing on our website is optional, but it will show you which of your friends from RPCV/W are attending, so spread the word! You can also share this PDF invitation and call for volunteers. We hope to see you there!

Come fly with RPCV/W at our first Sip 'n Stretch!!

Yoga Fusion is conveniently located just three walking minutes from Bethesda metro.

Do you feel like stretching, releasing compression from your spine, and having fun flying too? The aerial yoga practice will bring expansion into the spine and heart, while strengthening the core body (our most important power center) and lifting your spirit! The practice decompresses the spine, stimulates the lymphatic and endocrine systems, and supports whole-body bone and joint realignment.

The aerial hammocks, which support up to 350lbs, are a powerful tool to create the space that you need in your body, while remaining in control of your own depth of healing. The perfect supplement to a floor yoga practice, the fabric combines the realignment of a chiropractic adjustment with the cleansing of an acupressure massage, and the heart-warming joy of play!

There are no prerequisites- aerial yoga is accessible to any and every body type, experience level, age and ability.

It is not recommended for pregnant women or for people with unmedicated low or high blood pressure, glaucoma, vertigo, migraines, spine injuries, or if you have a medical condition in which inversions are to be avoided, drop us a line before registering.

    Notes:
