Who's going

Nina Mortazavi is a friend of RPCV/W and an origami artist. She will be hosting an Origami Fest event at the National Portrait Gallery. No need to register with the Portrait Gallery. From the website:

"Spark your creativity and learn about the art of origami! Be inspired by Queen Lili‘uokalani’s portrait, roll up your sleeves, and join us for an afternoon of origami fun. Whether you’re a seasoned folder or just starting out, this event is all about embracing creativity, making memories and turning pieces of paper into fantastic creations. Let’s fold, create, and celebrate together!"

Nina Mortazavi Biography :

Nina, originally from Iran and now calling Washington, D.C. home for over a decade, is a self-taught origami artist deeply passionate about the intricate craft of paper folding. She's achieved national recognition in Iran with two wins in the national origami competition and her work published in OrigamiUSA, an organization at the forefront of promoting paper folding in the United States. Nina has conducted workshops in various locations for people of all ages and garnered a significant following with her online origami channel during the COVID-19 pandemic.

When she travels, Nina leaves swan origami surprises in cafes and restaurants, spreading joy wherever she goes.
