Join NPCA, RPCV/W, the Kennedy Center, and the "A Towering Task" documentary team for a landmark event celebrating the service of Peace Corps Volunteers everywhere.
What to expect?
Global Citizen Day, Sunday, September 22, 10am-6pm, at "Studio F" in the REACH Center
Get your REACH timed entry tickets for documentary viewing and access to Studio F today! You can do so at this link.
Join us for an entire day of activities at the new REACH Center, including several stations showcasing (and featuring, live!) volunteers who served in all reaches of the world. RPCV/W will host the following activities and will be available to share our experience as volunteers with you throughout the day:
-
Book Nook featuring RPCV authors and their works. Take a seat and enjoy!
-
Around the World: Table featuring artifacts from RPCV countries of service that can be handled by participants at the event.
- Home Sweet Home: A replica of an RPCV home including all of the staples RPCVs use to adjust to their countries of service.
If you're interested in lending items for any of these activities or becoming more involved, please contact [email protected].
Some ideas for items to donate include:
- Clothing (can't be too large if it's fabric)
- Unique cooking utensils
- Games and toys
- Crafts/Art
- Motorcycle helmet
- Letters from home
- Your favorite items from your Peace Corps home or anything that could spark conversation about Peace Corps service!
And don't forget to join us for our pre-event Happy Hour with A Towering Task director Alana DeJoseph on Friday, September 20, at Exiles Bar on U St. Register today!
