  • SAVE THE DATE! In honor of Peace Corps Week. Peace Corps will be a hosting an event at the Kennedy Center - Growing Together Stories from the Peace CorpsThis will be at the Kennedy Center’s Millennium Stage on Friday, March 1, 2024 from 6:00 – 7:00 p.m. EST. Nine storytellers from across the Peace Corps network, including current Volunteers, RPCVs and community partners from around the world.

    Online advance reservations for a given performance date will open on a rolling basis, opening every Wednesday two weeks out from the date on Wednesday, February 14th. 

    The event will be in person but there is will also be a LIVESTREAM via the Kennedy Center's event page for those that cannot attend in person. 

    This is NOT an RPCV/W event.

  • Let’s join our friends at RPCVs@EPA and celebrate the end of Peace Corps Week with some community service! Join us with Potomac Conservancy and Ward 8 Woods to help pick up trash and remove invasive species.

    Let's go Paintballing at Hogback Mountain about an hour west of DC. The cost is $60 p/p and is part of a group package for three hours from 2-5pm. We will meet at Paintball at 130pm but plan on leaving DC no later than 12pm. We will send out an email prior to the event to coordinate rides. Let's plan on grabbing food/drink afterward on the way home.

  • RPCV/W would like to welcome members of the Peace Corps community from around the Nation as they come together for National Peace Corps Association's annual Capitol Hill Day of Advocacy on March 7th. RPCV/W will host a Pre-Advocacy Day Happy Hour at Bullfeathers on the Hill the evening before Advocacy Day on Wednesday, March 6th from 630pm-9pm. Please look for the Peace Cops flag when you arrive at Bullfeathers. 

    Volunteer in the Days Leading Up To Capitol Hill Day? If you live in the Washington D.C. area (or are coming into town early) and potentially can provide volunteer support in the days leading up to March 7th, please review and fill out this volunteer support form (please note...as you will be an advocate on March 7th, we will be recruiting others to help with preparations and support on that day).

    Please be mindful of the RPCV/W Community Guidelines here. We want this to be a safe, fun, and inviting space for everyone!

    Come on out for our spring wine tasting at former RPCV/W Board Member Jeff Schwartz's home in Woodley Park. Award-winning Wine Educator Robert Cavanaugh of  Adventure Wine LLC will be our guide for an evening adventure into the world of wines. The suggested donation is $30 and includes wine, charcuterie, educational material and a lot of fun You do not need to bring anything. The location of the event will be sent 48 prior to the event to all RSVP attendees. Registration is limited to 30 people.  Hope to see you there!

  • In honor of Women's History Month, RPCV/W has organized a special private docent-led tour of the recently reopened National Museum of Women in the Arts! The ticket price of $25 includes the private tour and admissions to the entire museum (Note: This is a Paid Museum.)
    Please arrive in front of the Museum at 10:45am and look for Special Events Director Alana who will have a flag. The Tour will begin at 11:00am but we are asking you to arrive 15 min early to get through security. After the Tour we will tour the museum on our own and if there is interest, we will go to lunch nearby. 
    All RSVPs will receive an email prior to the event with a reminder and additional details.
